Clear guidelines for bookings, payments, cancellations and the use of our services
SCOPE
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all services and products offered and provided by WAX QUEEN. By booking an appointment, the client accepts these terms and conditions.
APPOINTMENTS & BOOKINGS
The primary booking method is through the WAX QUEEN online booking system. Appointments may also be requested by email, WhatsApp or directly at the studio.
An appointment is considered confirmed once WAX QUEEN has sent a written confirmation by email.
The client is responsible for checking their inbox and spam folder in good time and for correctly noting their confirmed appointment. WAX QUEEN is not responsible if a confirmation email is not read, overlooked or not received due to technical reasons.
PRICES, PAYMENT & DEPOSITS
All prices are stated in CHF per treatment. Payment is due immediately after the treatment and can be made by Twint, debit card, credit card or cash.
WAX QUEEN reserves the right to require a deposit for certain appointments or clients. The deposit amount and payment terms will be communicated at the time of booking.
Where a deposit has been paid, it will be credited towards the total treatment price unless otherwise stated.
In the event of a cancellation within 24 hours, a no-show or a breach of the booking conditions, the deposit may be retained.
CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES & NO-SHOWS
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment or in the event of a no-show, WAX QUEEN reserves the right to charge 100% of the booked treatment(s).
Booked services are binding. If a client chooses to end a treatment early due to personal discomfort or pain, the amount charged will depend on the treatment already provided and the circumstances of the appointment.
If a booked treatment is reduced or changed without at least 24 hours' notice — for example, a Brazilian and leg wax is booked but the Brazilian is cancelled at the appointment — this is considered a short-notice cancellation and WAX QUEEN reserves the right to charge the full original amount.
If a client does not attend an appointment and does not contact WAX QUEEN afterwards, WAX QUEEN reserves the right to refuse future bookings from that client.
Clients who have previously missed an appointment without notice may be required to pay a deposit in advance for any future appointment.
LATE ARRIVALS
If a client arrives more than 10 minutes late, the treatment may need to be shortened or rescheduled in order to avoid delays for other clients.
The full treatment price may still apply, as the appointment time has been reserved specifically for the client.
HEALTH, ALLERGIES & SKIN REACTIONS
Clients are required to inform WAX QUEEN before their treatment of any allergies, skin conditions, medication or other health-related information that may be relevant to the treatment.
WAX QUEEN uses professional products selected with client safety in mind. However, allergic, sensitive or unexpected skin reactions cannot be completely ruled out.
WAX QUEEN cannot be held responsible for reactions resulting from information that was not disclosed by the client or from individual sensitivities that could not reasonably have been anticipated.
No refunds are provided once a treatment has been completed.
HYGIENE & STUDIO RULES
WAX QUEEN operates according to high hygiene and safety standards. Clients should only attend their appointment if they are well and do not have a contagious illness or condition that could pose a hygiene or safety risk to themselves, our team or other clients.
RESULTS & GUARANTEE
Treatment results vary from person to person and can be influenced by individual skin type, hair growth, lifestyle and aftercare.
WAX QUEEN does not guarantee specific results or a specific duration of results, such as how long the skin will remain hair-free.
Skin reactions following a treatment do not automatically constitute grounds for a refund.
GIFT VOUCHERS
Gift vouchers are valid for 1 year from the date of issue, are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Expired vouchers cannot be redeemed.
DATA PROTECTION
WAX QUEEN treats personal data confidentially and processes it in accordance with applicable Swiss data protection law.
Personal data is used for purposes such as appointment management, payment processing, customer communication and internal administration.
LIABILITY
WAX QUEEN is responsible for damages to the extent required by applicable Swiss law.
WAX QUEEN cannot be held responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings brought into the studio.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information relevant to their treatment and for following any pre-treatment and aftercare instructions provided by WAX QUEEN.
AMENDMENTS TO THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
WAX QUEEN reserves the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions where necessary.
The version of the General Terms and Conditions applicable at the time of booking shall apply to that appointment.
PLACE OF JURISDICTION
The place of jurisdiction is Basel-Stadt, Switzerland, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
